Swiss triathlete, Natascha Badmann, highlighted that the South of Gran Canaria is the “perfect place” for holding a trial of the Challenge Family. Six times winner of the of the World Championship in Hawaii, the most prestigious race of this sport, highlighted the spectacular conditions offered by Mogán and how pleased she is by its incorporation into the international series of this world famous franchise of Triathlon.
Badmann is in love with Gran Canaria. She has been coming to the South of the island for training from January to May for over 20 years. Most of her success has been forged on the roads of Mogán: “for many years I have said that this is the perfect place to train, good weather, and conditions of both the great mountains and the wonderful Ocean. It was not until the last four or five years that other world class athletes have realized that the South of Gran Canaria is the perfect place to train”, she stressed.
The Swiss Athlete recently made a visit with athletes and organisers of the event to the area of Amadores, which will be the base of the International Triathlon Challenge Mogán Gran Canaria. It’s first edition will be held on September 17, 2016. The race will take place three weeks before the Triathlon World Championship in Hawaii, so it also will serve as a last preparation to compete in the most prestigious edition of this sports event with a growing audience of followers.
